We live on a
special star
where each soul
struggles to
realize and
reflect its
unique purpose.
From our birth
until our
passing, we
evolve through
typical phases
of life, much
like seeds to
blossoming
flowers. Each
individual and
each generation
journeys beyond
its soil of
consciousness in
search of
greener
pastures.
And then there
are those souls
enticed by some
deeper mystery –
the perfume of
spiritual
awakening that
inspires a
reaction of
wide-eyed wonder
and a sense that
something
extraordinary
exists beyond
the everyday
appearance of
life. Sol was
such a soul.
In the autumn of his life, Sol experienced a series of
events that slowly transformed his commonplace existence into one filled
with enchantment and love. The tiny coastal
town of Bluefield proved much more than simply a place to retire. This
sublime spot, along with Sol’s mission to resurrect a garden from a
neglected piece of property, magically awakened his spirit. Through his
communion with nature and small circle of friends, Sol was granted a glimpse
of paradise. And as Sol discovered, this glimpse was not arrived at by
climbing some eminent peak or reading pages of sacred text; but rather
through his daily interaction with the world around him. For it is amidst
the present garden of people and amazing array of all living things that the
heart truly opens and God’s shining
light pours in.
Sol’s profound path offers a ray of hope for all of us
seeking to embrace our radiance.
